Happy Friday, beloved pub-goers. It’s Friday the 30th of November, which means if you think 2018 had already reached peak Michael Buble saturation you wait until tomorrow morning in every shopping centre and Argos in the country. Christmas is oh so near, and we have lots of festive information about the pub as well as some ideas for things to do this weekend.

Our Winter menu has landed

We’re delighted to let you guys know that we have just launched our winter menu, and really think you guys should come to try it. It’s loaded with seasonal warming meals that your soul craves when the weather is as awful as this. There’s pan-seared loin of venison with braised haunch, potato and walnut strudel, and an absolutely incredible turkey ballotine with pigs in blankets. What are you waiting for?

That’s right, we’re offering special Christmas gift vouchers for you to give to your friends and family. What’s best about our Maytime vouchers is you don’t have to spend your valuable free time traipsing around overcrowded shopping centres looking for presents, that will probably be returned anyway. Instead, you can just call us to arrange your gift orders, or better yet, come into the pub to order and sink a few pints safe in the knowledge that you’ve got Christmas sorted.

If you’re looking for something to do with the kids this weekend, why not take them to Westonbirt to follow the illuminated night trail?
