Maytime Weekender 18th of January 2019

Hello and welcome to the very first Maytime Weekender of 2019! The weekly pub blog post where we highlight all of our latest news, what we’ve been up to as well as some top suggestions for things going on in the coming weekends: both at the Maytime Inn and around the Cotswolds. So, here we go…

We are open

Yes, our week of closure is over and the Maytime is now spick and span and generally shipshape. We’ve still got a few tradesmen around in the day making some last minute improvements, however, let us assure you we are well and truly open serving food and drink every day as usual.

Our new menu has landed

To celebrate the fact we’re open again we’ve launched our latest menu! It’s loaded with seasonal goodness including pan-seared scallops, slow roasted pork belly and a delicious pan-seared loin of venison with braised haunch. We’ve also kept all of the staple favourites including our famous wild boar burger, pie of the day and the risotto of the day. Come give them a try!

Valentine’s deal

Yes, even though discarded Christmas trees might still be lining your street, believe it or not, Valentine’s day is just around the corner.  We have got a very special offer, if you book now for Valentine’s day you will receive a free Maytime gin & tonic on arrival — using a special gin Lubos will painstakingly be concocting in the coming weeks. Also, if you’re a serious person and you can’t go out on ‘school nights’ anymore then you’ll be pleased to know that we will be offering our special romantic menu until Saturday the 16th of February.

The Comedy About A Bank Robbery

If you’re looking for something to do before or after coming to the pub, then why not check out this hit play which has entered its third year at the Criterion Theatre, London. No, you don’t need to go to London, it’s playing at the Oxford Playhouse (just 25 minutes from the pub!) this weekend. Click here to see if you can grab a last minute ticket.

Have a great weekend!
