Alex Rainsford

We are delighted to be welcoming the incredibly talented, Alex Rainsford, to the Maytime this Sunday, the 23rd of June. Alex is one of Birmingham’s most up-and-coming singer-songwriters, who was selected by BBC West Midlands as one of their ‘Sounds of 2018.

Quiz night

Our June pub quiz night is fast approaching. So be sure to book ahead in order to avoid any disappointment. Starting at 730pm on Sunday the 30th of June expect some fiendishly tricky questions as well as some glorious prizes, including a cash jackpot.

Wimbledon

It’s almost that time of the year again, so yes, before you ask. We are going to play all games, or at least as many games as it is possible for us to play in the pub! So come on down to observe the matches with a G’n’t or Pimms in hand. It beats Henman Hill any day.

The Cheltenham Balloon Fiesta

Finally, if you’re feeling brave enough to venture farther afield than the borders of the pub, then you might want to check out the Cheltenham Balloon Fiesta, taking place at the famous racecourse this weekend. This family-friendly event features a funfair, stalls, fireworks and yes, lots of hot air balloons.
