Maytime Weekender Friday the 8th of March 2019

Hello, and a very happy International Women’s Day to all the international women out there! The weekend is here and it’s time to relax and enjoy yourselves. Here is all of the latest pub news, and a few suggestions on things to do in the near future.
Six Nations
If you’re looking for a cosy place to nestle in and watch the rugby with a pint (and maybe a delicious sharing board of snacks) then look no further. We are playing all games this year including Scotland vs Wales and England vs Italy tomorrow afternoon!
Wine Club
Don’t forget to book now for next Friday’s Wine Club event if you want to attend. Our Wine Club evenings are always great fun, for £60 per head you get a five-course banquet style meal as well as a selection of delicious Italian wines, personally selected by Berkmann Wines’ expert Alberto. At the end of the evening, you can even purchase any of the wines by the bottle at trade prices to take home with you! Full menu here.
Mother’s Day
Don’t forget that Sunday the 31st of March is Mother’s Day! We will be offering our usual ‘present a child’ policy whereby all mothers are eligible to receive a glass of prosecco, on us, when they present a child (of any age) to the bar.
Reopening of the GWSR
The heritage Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway reopens this weekend for its spring season. If you’re looking for something to do with the family this weekend that is still, reasonably near the pub, then the GWSR takes you over 14 miles of picturesque countryside from Cheltenham Race Course Station to Broadway.
