Hello pub goers, you did it, you made it through the gruelling first week back from the Easter break. Although don’t get too used to this work malarky, another bank holiday weekend is just around the corner! But let’s not get ahead of ourselves… here’s all the latest pub news and some activity suggestions for this weekend.
Join us this Sunday afternoon for our first music Sundays of the season. Maytime favourite Vince Freeman is kicking everything of this Sunday from three pm, from then onward we will be hosting various artists throughout the spring and summer every other Sunday. For the full line up click here.
40 wines by the glass
As you will have most likely already heard, we have made the vast majority of our wine menu available by the glass. Have no fear about a decline in the quality of our wines, however! We are able to do so thanks to our investment into some clever wine preservation systems that mean our wine will never go off as a result of oxygenation. Find out more here.
Save the date
We’re giving you plenty of notice to keep the 26th-28th of July free for our annual summer party. Our summer party is the absolute highlight of our calendar and always includes great music, food and booze sprawled over three days. We are working tirelessly at the moment to get things planned for this year, so keep your eyes trained on our website to be the first to find out what we have got up our sleeves for this year’s event.
Wartime in the Cotswolds
Finally, if you’re looking for something to do with the family this weekend (that’s still close to the pub!) why not take a trip to Toddington Steam Rail for their ‘Wartime in the Cotswolds’ event? Visit a simulated wartime village at the height of the Second World War, complete with, troops, tanks and Spitfires, and of course take a ride through the Cotswolds on their steam locomotive.
