Happy first official summer weekend of 2018 everyone! Yes, that’s right despite the last couple of months of on-and-off-again blistering weather, the solstice was only yesterday. We’ve got some absolutely fantastic things going on at the Maytime over the summer that are not to be missed. Here’s just a taste of what we have in store:

A COTSWOLD SUMMER

We think there’s really no better place in the UK to be than the Cotswolds during the summer months, though we may be biased. That’s why we’ve put together this gallery of images that really sum up summer in the Cotswolds. 

FOOTBALL

Yes, England won the last match, will they win this Sunday’s against Panama? But much more importantly — what should you eat before, after or during the game? Check out our match day pairing suggestions for each England game.

Vince Freeman

Don’t forget this Sunday at 3pm Vince Freeman will be performing for us. WILL.I.AM described his voice as “awesome, awesome, awesome” and we reckon he’s pretty good too!

SUMMER PARTY

We couldn’t very well talk about our plans with the summer without mentioning our sixth birthday party. Taking place across all of the last weekend of July, we will be celebrating with live music, lots of booze, and much more. Oh, and we’ve got a very swanky marquee so there’s no excuses for not coming if it rains! Find out more here.

WINE TASTING

Want to know more about wine? Thought so. Our wine expert mate Alberto (yes that is a proper wine expert name isn’t it?) from Berkmann Wines, will be hosting a wine evening in the pub. £60 a head gets you canapés, fizz, a three course meal and cheese board WITH wine paired by Alberto! And at the end of the meal you can even purchase all of the wines you’ve sampled at trade prices. Can’t say fairer than that can you? See you there.
