Of course, it’s Sod’s Law that after some wonderfully warm weather in the week, now that it’s the weekend there are warnings about Storm Freya. However, there is no need to be glum, get down the pub! Wine Club

It’s just two weeks now until our next Maytime Wine Club event! Much to the excitement of our Wine Expert, Alberto this event on the 15th of March will be dedicated to celebrating all of the fantastic wines produced in Italy.

Call the pub now to book your place on the night, it’s £60 per person and included in the price is a five-course meal as well as a selection of brilliant wines, that Alberto will introduce at the start of each course.

Psst, don’t forget that Sunday the 31st of March is Mother’s Day. We will be offering our usual ‘present a child policy’. Where all mothers are entitled to one glass of prosecco on us, providing they can present one of their children, of any age!

Gin Tastings

Have you tried a Maytime Gin Tasting yet? If you love gin and want to learn more about it, we have a tremendous deal for you. For £25 per person with a minimum of four people, we will prepare a selection of interesting gins for you to sample and give you two sharer boards to nibble on while you do so, it’s a very sophisticated way to get sloshed.

Lambing time

If you’re looking to take the family out this weekend, somewhere that is, conveniently located to the pub, you might be interested in heading to Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park where live lambing is taking place now, until the 28th of April. More info.
