Football Fever

Yes, it’s time to state the obvious, the World Cup has begun, and although we’re more of a gin pub than a ‘football pub’ we will be playing all of the England matches. So, if you’re looking for a place to watch the game, come on down. Look out next week for our drink and food pairing suggestions for each match.

Gin Day

For those of you who missed it, we had an absolute blast last Saturday celebrating World Gin Day. We had Cotswold’s Distillery set up their own bar in the garden, gin ice lollies and music from the phenomenally talented Jessica Rhodes and John James Newman. Of course, every day at the Maytime is a Gin Day really, so don’t be too sad that you missed out. Take a look at just a few of our ever expanding stock of gins from around the globe here.

Vince Freeman

Finally, do you like music? Because if so Vince Freeman will be playing at the Maytime on Sunday the 24th of June from 3pm. If you’ve not heard of Vince before, here’s what you should know Will.I.AM of Black Eyed Peas fame described Vince’s voice as “Awesome awesome awesome!” And he’s shared stages with the likes of Eric Clapton, Ed Sheehan and Paul Weller.
