Maytime May Day Bank Holiday

It’s Friday, it’s the first weekend of May, and it’s another bank holiday Monday! Life does not often get sweeter than this. While there’s no ‘Spanish plume’ to be had this time follow our advice and we are sure you will have a great time, especially if you give us a visit. Here is all the latest pub news and some wider Cotswold activity suggestions…
Party Announcement!
Summer is on the way, which at the Maytime means one thing: our summer blow out. Every year we host a three-day party to celebrate the pub’s anniversary. This year from the 26th until the 28th of July promises to be our biggest and best party to date. We will have live music across all dates, 10 ciders and three ales on tap, and a truly massive marquee that will ensure that come rain or shine, nothing is going to stop us having a good time. More info here.
Try a Gin Sampler
If you haven’t yet heard, then you are missing out. We now offer groups of 4+ gin sampling packages. All you need to do is call ahead to book and pay £28 each on arrival. In return, our bar staff will expertly select a range of interesting and exciting gins for you to try with a brief introduction to each one. Do not worry about lining your stomach as we will also provide you with a selection of our sharing boards and, to sweeten the deal, we will give you a little gift to take home with you at the end of your session.
Try our wine by the glass
We are delighted to let everyone know that we are now able to offer most of the wines on our menu by the glass, including the most premium ones. This is because we have invested in two nifty little wine preservation systems that stops oxygen entering the bottle, or C02 leaving. Find out more about these amazing devices here, or read our full wine menu here.
Upcoming: John James Newman
We have got Maytime Inn favourite John James Newman performing for us on Sunday the 12th of May. Find out more info about him here, and click here to see our full line up of artists who will be joining us throughout the spring and summer.
Cheltenham Jazz Festival
Finally, if you’re looking for something to do beyond the borders of the pub (why?). Then you might want to check out the last three days of the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. This year’s event has a wide array of musicians performing across several venues. Info here.
