A very happy hello to you all and welcome to a special Thursday Weekender! We thought that since this weekend is four days long it was only appropriate to post the blog today. So, without any more deliberation here’s all of the latest news about the Maytime Inn and some Easter weekend activity suggestions.

Easter quiz

Don’t forget that we have moved the date of our monthly pub quiz from the 28th to the 21st of April (Easter Sunday). We decided that since most of you will have the Monday off work you would appreciate the opportunity to be able to adequately wet your whistle for the quiz, without the fear of it being a ‘school night’.

Music time

The clocks have changed, spring has arrived and the slightly-more-palatable is here and as such we’re delighted to announce the return of our Sunday music sessions, starting on the 29th of April. Maytime Inn favourite Vince Freeman is kicking everything off next week from 3pm, and we will be hosting artists every other Sunday from then on throughout the spring and summer.

New wine menu

If you haven’t yet, then please be sure to view our brand new wine menu. Thanks to our investment in some state-of-the-art wine gadgets, we are now able to offer most of the wines in our cellar by the glass. Yes, even the majority of our proseccos, English sparkling wines and champagnes!

Easter egg hunt

Finally, if you’re looking for something to do with the whole family over Easter that is oh so conveniently close to the pub, then be sure to check out the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt at Lodge Park. Entry is only £2.00 per person and Lodge Park is less than a 20-minute drive from The Maytime Inn.
